They weren't real clean, and I think I should have washed them but didn't know in time. How fast do they go down if so?

Thank you I will. They still seem half hatched. Chewing a little.

After this is over I'm hoping someone will tell me what I did wrong that made them all nearly die. If some live maybe I'll be brave enough to try again at some point!

Maybe it's just the flash or lighting in the pic. I've seen green too but not that bright.

I don't think you've done anything wrong. As they continue to squirm, they push even further into the membrane, so even keeping it oiled can sometimes be difficult. Dealing with 7 at the same time is exhausting!
This is why I try to get as much membrane out of their way as possible.

I can't imagine that many at once. I don't know how y'all get through it.

They just need some rest. They have been through quite a lot to get here..

Only one has fully left the egg. Navel a bit stringly/bloody. I clear iodined it. Pic of shell leavings. What looks like a lump isn't, just my finger collapsing it.

Should I keep humidity up and leave them to finish?

Interesting. All the waste in the egg I've seen so far looked more like this

but maybe the baby was farther along than those or something.

Top pic is black magpie, bottom pic looks to be pastel on left and grey on right... easier to tell colors and patterns when they're dry and fluffed though...

Sleep who sleeps! Actually I watched them till 2 then slept till 8, jumped up in a panic to.... no big change. Should have just gone to bed.

I agree that green looks awful but hopefully that'll remain something to worry about next time!

I can't tell if any navels are open, but unless there's blobs hanging out of them, they will more than likely be ok. Give them time. That was hard work!
