If it's not pouring down rain this afternoon I wanna take some videos of the babies swimming with mama. It's so sweet
Yesterday I added some hardware cloth to the bottom of some of those pet playpen panels I have so I can block Lexi and Maggie off when the babies come out to play. Took forever but it worked well. Is there anything any handier than zip ties?

Daphne did a stinky gray duck poo on her eggs. I know they have a protective bloom, but are they alright? Also, a hen somehow squirmed past my barrier into her box and got bloodied by a ticked off momma! Poor Harriet had blood all over her comb where Daphne grabbed and twisted.

OT but I had to share. BBS cochin pullet hatched an EE mutt! Might give her the next duck eggs I get.
