Ravyn has told me before it's more about the short neck. . since Jane is more typey and has short necked babies it's hard for them to reach the shell to pip.

I think so too. It's possible there could be a nutritional factor at play also due to her being in a breeding pen situation. But I think that should have corrected with supplements I had started giving her.
She is such a good devoted broody I think the thing to do would be to swap her eggs with some eggs from the other girls and try her eggs in the incubator next time.
