That's a cute teenage stage.
I think so too. It's possible there could be a nutritional factor at play also due to her being in a breeding pen situation. But I think that should have corrected with supplements I had started giving her.
She is such a good devoted broody I think the thing to do would be to swap her eggs with some eggs from the other girls and try her eggs in the incubator next time.
She's gorgeous! Want eggs!
My babies yesterday.
Very different from its bio mom. View attachment 1403300
I do have a power inverter so technically I could bring the incubator! But really do keep me in mind for eggs, I seem to need more calls somehow. Oh I'm driving to Maryland at the end of June, might not be an empty threat!Excellent idea to try her with other eggs. Why didn't I think of that?
Come get the ones she is sitting on.
I'll let ya know when she starts laying again. The daddy would be a blue fawn. I think they make pastel mostly?? Will know in a few weeks, because the eggs she is sitting on should be mostly her own.
Too cute!Love that little pond too!
How old are they now? Can you tell genders yet?
Ravyn said she was blue Bibbed, so I just thought that was more what a blue Bibbed would look like. I mean I knew she wasn't colored perfectly to standard but to me that is way different than the look of the baby. I guess it's just that she has more white leaking through. But she obviously must carry the blue Bibb gene. That's the mom of the blue bibbed??
What color is she?
I'm never going to get call colors figured out.![]()
