Thanks to all this fly fishing talk, I just ordered 200 8mm and 10mm cork balls to reproduce a topwater bug called a Round Dinny. 🤣
They were made by Accardo Tackle Co out of Baton Rouge that is now out of business.

You’re welcome!

I ain't judging. I dress like a seat cover from the 70s. 🤣

You’re not that out of date... that seat cover was from the late 80s early 90s, it was the pickup that was from the 70s, lol

I’m a few decades further back today

So, WOW! Are you a fly tying professional fanatic or what? Those are freaking awesome! And quite the setup there!

However, I see very little feather product, rather synthetic or fur. Are there lures made just from feathers only?
I’ve been tying them for about 17 yrs. I have many thousands of flies laying around. Most are tied with feathers, fur and synthetics. Most of those bigger flies are for saltwater. The synthetics don’t absorb water so you can cast them easily without being heavy. I tie flies for some people here and there and donate some to worthy causes.
Yes some dry flies are made solely from feathers and thread. Most still have some fur too though.
