Shaws Snow day Silliness and Southie Sense of humor Thread

I dispute number 2. I have been in Way up in VWN and caught 40-50 in a day. About the third week of June they go nuts.

we were usually there right after ice out... often the first week of June... sometimes that was a bit early for walleye, but better for lakers... but overall it was pretty good... I always wanted to go back in the fall but never did

No, I think I might have said that wrong.. the gloves are sized to fit snowflakes only.
I don’t think you said it wrong, I just chose to call you Snowflake instead of Dumb@ss! :lau

However, I do understand the cumbersomeness and the loss of dexterity any kind of glove poses. That’s one reason I don’t.like.cold.weather! :tongue

Oh poop!!!

I have never released a raccoon alive.

But I have released several Pine Martin and a timber wolf once. I always pin them with a Y branch. ( cheap catch pole).
No wolves or marten here but I have released probably a hundred or more smaller raccoons or raccoons with screwy fur. Usually they take off but I’ve had to smack the sh*t out of a few that decided they still wanted a piece of me. I’ve released a few deer too over the years. They can kick harder than you think. 😂

:bowNot the amount of fish, specificaly Pike  catch that many Pike in one day! IMO they are can be plentiful, but hard enough to catch and bring in, let alone so many in one place at one time.:eek:

Usually we worked pretty hard to find walleye but you could catch the pike all day ... particularly the little ‘axe handle’ ones...

but there were certain spots that held the bigger ones every year... the goal was always to catch one over the slot limit in the +37” , but those were harder to come by

But we went to one lake one year where you could catch walleye non stop and pike were hard to come by... so I guess it varies by lake
