Shaws Snow day Silliness and Southie Sense of humor Thread

My brother and I used to fish for large mouth bass in Virginia years ago. In doing so we saw this creature coming up behind our 'catch'. Pike! They are spooky with their sneaky shark likeness. I wanted to catch the state record, so we set out Pike fishing. Not much longer. No way those things are crazy with how aggressive they are and their teeth. That was it for me.

Keep on fishin' y'all. I love to hear these tales and up north in the crazy land! :lau :lau :lau

It took me a long time to write this so I know y'all have moved on....:duc

:bowNot the amount of fish, specificaly Pike  catch that many Pike in one day! IMO they are can be plentiful, but hard enough to catch and bring in, let alone so many in one place at one time.:eek:

btw... on having trouble getting them in we always used steel leaders... and after a few days even they’d get pretty messed up.

sometimes we’d catch a pike while trolling for walleye without a steel leader and they would bite off the rig

When catching lots of big northerns, steel leaders and heavy line are a must.

I didn’t have a leader and had two pound test the other day, which is what amazed me about getting them in.
