I have 4 chickens but only 2 are old enough to lay, the first one that started laying was Bell and for some reason she barly ever stays in the same place so I tried putting a golf ball in the coop but she now wont go near it so I tried locking her in the coop and she paces back and forth and wont lay! Then once Daisy started laying in the coop Bell trys to take her spot and Daisy has to lay some were else! Every day I have to walk around the yard looking for eggs because I dont know were they layed!Any advice?

Good luck, my hens lay in different spots sometimes too. Keeping them locked up is the only way, but i like to let mine out. Just make them a nice nest box hopefully they will think is the best spot. Make it so they can hide in there a little. When I find eggs in the yard, they are always well hidden under something or inside something.
