She flogged me?

I know she's a hen, as i have watched her lay. Today, as I was petting the other chickens, (my husband calls it sexing them

) she pecked my hand, and then came at me with her feet.

I have lurked on this site for months now, and did as others have said.. picked her up, carried her around, for about 10 minutes as I fed the others treats and the like.

Is there anything else I can do to keep her from attacking? She is not my favorite, but I really don't want to stew pot her.

My first thought when I saw the tag line is that she is broody and just hormonal.

I have never had a hen flogged me that was not broody.

If no rooster is present, she may be the dominant hen and is trying to make you submit to her.

I couldnt eat one of my hens even if she did flog me. Its like us with PMS...no big thing.
