She had fun, fun ,fun til her daddy took the T-bird away

That car is beautiful and I am so jealous. My hubby has a 84 Mustang convertible. You will be the envy of all the boys and their daddies. You make sure you tell your daddy how much you love him for putting you in such a safe and did I say beautiful car.

It's GORGEOUS!!! I wish MY dad would have bought me a car like that *whine*

Just wanted to add.......

My first car was a '65 Plymouth Valiant. Small car for the year, NOT sporty at all (in my estimation at least), but ROCK solid. My mom and I bought it the year I graduated high school from the sweet elderly lady who bought it NEW off the show room floor.

That car and it's HUGE steering wheel saved my unborn baby. I was hit by a big ole tuna boat making a left turn in front of me. The impact was such that the seat was ripped from the frame it was bolted to, my knees went through the steel dash board and my head starred the windsheild (still remember seeing my hair hanging in the cracks).

I was 5 months pregnant with my son and had a perfect bruise of the steering wheel all the way around my belly, as if encompassing it's precious cargo. If I'd been driving anything with a smaller steering wheel or without the steel body and framework, my baby wouldn't have made it.

I delivered my healthy 9 lb 4 oz boy four months after that crash.

Nothing beats those great old cars!

I'm swooning over your car! So

You are SOOOO lucky ! That is one of the nicest '65 birds I have seen in a long time. When I was young (we won't go there) my parents had a '66. They are nearly the same. I have many fond memories of that car including taking my drive test in it and my first ticket (not so fond and we won't talk about for what). Tell yer dad he has done very good to put you in a TRUE AMERICAN car. You get a good mechanic to work on it and that 390 will run like a champ. That is an awesome car and I hope you are very proud of it, you should be.

Thanks my brother today was saying that he was gona drive it to school and not me. "Oh yea right?!" He wishes he is 19 months younger and I will be driving soon and need it to get to cross country practice at like 5 AM when my mom doesn't want to get out of bed LOL. I don't want to park in the school parking lot I see too many kids walking inbetween cars with their giant backpacks and kids parking close I'll park like a mile away heck Im a distance runner its just like practice.

WOW....I am not really big into classic cars but that is awesome, beautiful!!!! Thankfully my 12 y/o is asleep or he would be whining right now. He thinks I should buy a nice OLD car or truck for him right now, just to keep 'til he is old enough.
