I have one week also. I never candle mine just let nature take its course.

Actually I am afraid to candle mine. I am afraid I would throw away something that might develop. I'll let the hen decide. So far she has done a good job for me. 3 more days.

eHappy Mother's Day! It actually happened - something hatched. Can't tell how many or who because mama hen won't let us see them yet. Should we remove the shells from her nest?

something is happening here, about a third of one eggs shell is gone but no pip through the membrane. Help is this unusual????? Gloria Jean

Gloria Jean, I have never heard of that before. I don't know. There should be a pip through the membrane, I would think.

Katy I went back and looked again. Right at the top of the membrane is a tiny split. Oh let it be hatching and not broken. Nothing is leaking out. Its three days to hatch day. Gloria jean
