She is broody again want to be hatching buddies?

mom,wewantchicks! :

QUESTION!!! well to me its sort of an emergency lol. day 21 was yesterday and nothing! ok i might have my days a little mixed up since i have so much going on,but i decided to candle to see if i could even tell anything. i only looked at one egg and all i could see was dark with an air sack. is this what i should be seeing at this point, and how many days should i let her go before giving up. we had a few cold nights in a row, down into the thirtys, and a friend of mine said i should have brought her in,but i didnt want to disturb her so i didnt, would that have any effect on hatching. we will be so bummed if we dont get any babies!

Wait a few more days to be sure. The candling is about what it should be. Just like people aren't always born at exactly 40 weeks, chicks aren't always hatched at 21 days

I know it is any time now. Today I found a broken egg all bloody with a fully formed chick (yolk absorbed) kicked out of the nest of one. I don't know if the broody broke it, or if it was hatching or what.

ok, we are up to 3 chicks today! 2 look exactly alike and one is gray and definatley a silkie babie,so we have our first sizzle, yeah!!!! we have silkie and frizzle hens, but only a frizzle roo. so now that they are here how do i take care of them, first off,how many days should i wait to see if they are all hatched,we have 5 more eggs. and as far as feeding goes, should i just leave that up to mom, i put chick starter and a very shallow water dish into the house they are in will she just take them over when its time or do i need to worry since they didnt all hatch on the same day. ok, i think thats all my over protective questions for now, im going to wait to take some pics till she is done hatching!!! fingers crossed for a few more babies!!!!
