I have cochin friz bantam hen who insists on setting. She doesn't even have any eggs under her. I've tried kicking her out of the nest. Blocking the nest she prefers but she just moves to another.
How do I stop her? Eggs set on now will be Oct hatch and it's too cold her then. I don't want any chicks. Think someone would take them for free? Probably be Delawares or mutts.

Cochins are pretty broody, ay least mine were.

Try putting her in a dog crate or cage with absolutely no nesting material. Food and water only. After 3-5 days she should quit with the broodiness.

I just had one who hatched one chick, but this is not a good time of year for chicks in NY. How do I get her to stop? In the spring I wouldn't care.
