I get one on the floor every couple of days, but it's not the same girl doing it. I think that somebody is hording the nesting boxes so there aren't free ones when then need the. The second nesting box almost never has an egg in it. I think some chicken is camping out in there so they have to lay on the floor. I think I'll add another box and see if that helps.

I got 2 green eggs today, and another little brown egg. Total of 9 with is the most I've ever gotten in a day. I'm thinking I have a couple of new layers myself.

Congrats on your first egg. I don't think it ever gets old.

Yay!!! Congrats. I think Australorp eggs are just SO pretty! Ours look like that: pale, shiny, and delicately oblong. Congratulations!
