My turkey had been sick for about a week.she just didn't act like herself.she seemed like she was cold all the time.I went out to see about her today and found her dead.she was the last of 6 turkeys I had got from a guy at the feed store.they all have died.they all was sickly acting birds.I have a tom I got from a lady he is doing good.if anyone know what could have been wrong with let me know thanks

Depending on the age of the hen it could be many things. Poults are susceptible to coccidia and worms. Adults. ..worms and Blackhead disease if mixed around other poultry. Breathing trouble..swollen sinus. .weeping eye... Signs of.respiratory illness. Sorry for your loss..

Most feed stores sell BB turkeys that are bred for meat and do not live long. If your turkeys are more than 6 months this could be the case. This is late in the year to be raising young poults, as turkey poults are very susceptible to a chill. If they are very young, this could be the problem. More information is needed, to be of much help to you? Sorry

She was right at 6 months when she past.she was my pick.she had been sick the whole time I had her.I. got 6 turkeys in all from the same feed store.they all died on me.I talk to the guy who raised them.he told me there was nothing wrong with his birds.he was bs me.I got my tom from a diff lady.he is doing good.he purrs all the time and just staring to get mean.would it be ok to get a white turkey hen to go with him.and what the diff in the breds.I know very little about them but I am trying to learn.if u know of any books or site I could read up on that would help.thanks for your input

What breed is your tom? If you do not know for sure, as there are 4 breeds of white turkeys I can think of, can you post a pic?
