If I weren't laughing so hard, I might be able to come up with a cute comeback, but right now, I just can't....

I asked because being Mr. Construction SCflock, I wondered if he had made something different.
My hubby actually has some heating panels (mandatory in nursing homes) that we are considering making something for the chicks with. They have thermostats and can be regulated.
So there! Miss know-it-all!![]()
If it works for you and the babies...that's all that matters! This literally made me crack up!!! That is so funny. This will be my first winter with chickens, do they lay much in winter up north?
Lazy, what part of the country are you in?
Ok, I have gotten a lot of negative feedback on my brooder. I did my research and a couple breeders said it was the way to go. But the majority of people that raise chicks told me no way, I was wrong and it wouldn't work. I use a large glass fish aquarium. I believe it's 65 gallons. And I keep it on a coffee table. I LOVE it! The chicks can always see me, it's long enough that one end is the sleep end and the other is food/water & play area. It's easy to clean and holds temps nicely. I really think because the chicks can always see whats going on, they are much more friendly and they know me well. When I go out to the coop/run, they all come running!

Pet quality. I still get some with odd looking little single combs. Even Fabio's comb isn't as good as it should be. He has thrown some stunning roosters, but he is a pet, and won't be replaced until he dies. Some are hatched with partially missing toes, and none are bearded. I only sell them as pets. If something ever happens to Fabio, I may start over with some SQ bearded silkies, but he's a mama's boy![]()
Careful, young lady, that almost sounded like a dare...
Gheess Ross that's one post short of a whole page And I thought Ruby did long quotes![]()
