Looking at Ruby's silkies makes me want to cry. My wife already knows that if anything ever happens to Fabio, that pen is starting over

I may have to just use the ones that I know are subpar for layers and dinner. The others that are good lines may be bred. I really haven't thought that far ahead. I know that I will be giving a couple of layers to my in laws as they are retired poor people. They had 2 of the meaties.

Posh lavender orpington. These people also had 4 week old Ayam cermani chicks about a week old. Could have got them for $50 EACH.

I love Ayams! Not sure I would keep them, but I love them. I want a trio walking around my yard.

Speaking of crying, I got the most beautiful chocolate egg yet off of one of my BCM yesterday. I was so excited! I took it in to the house, showed my wife, and we were just in awe at the color. Went to set it in the basket, it slipped out of my hand, fell in the basket, and cracked completely down one side

Seriously, what is the deal with those chickens? Are their eggs phenomenal, are they great to eat, or is it just because they are rare? I'm rare, too, and ain't nobody beating down my door...
