DuMor is French for "other crap"
Very true... I won't use their feed, but their vites are actually decent...

If I could bring myself to process a tribble, I could have a freezer full of dark meat, but the wife ain't havin' it. A big mean rooster is one thing, but those little cotton balls...I might try a chicken soup type recipe for the small cockerels. Then I could dress them younger and skip the plucking process. I could just roast them and then do the bone broth thing with them and use the hearts, necks, etc.
oh dear, my stuff is legal for the time being until the feds mess it all up.My dad made his own e-liquid, too. Got him 17 months in Columbia![]()
I will check it out.
Liquid horse vitamins... very thick... red cell is brand name, other is TSC's generic brand... I put a cap ful per gallon, gotta add it in a little water and shake first, good vites and last longer and cheaper than rooster booster/kicking rooster...
Whoops I am using their game bird starter for my turkey poults and baby chicks. what do you recommend for starter?Very true... I won't use their feed, but their vites are actually decent...
DuMor isn't horrible, but the cost vs Purina brand isn't worth the savings. I've even tried local mill brands, and my chooks all prefer Purinaoh dear, my stuff is legal for the time being until the feds mess it all up.

I've never compared the protein, but you can even tell the difference just looking at the feed. I use crumbles, and Dumor is like dust compared to Purina. At $2/bag difference, it's not worth itOn this I will say it is horrible... also if you compare their protein, it is waaay off...

Same here. I can still sell them once they get to processing size, but it costs more to feed them than I sell them for. Luckily I'm out of LF roos, but those little hootchie mama silkies...there's two of them sitting right now![]()
I just bought my first bag of the Purina flock raiser after a convo with Ravyn because I was buying Layer crumble for the layers, starter/grower for the youngers and grower finisher for the olders not laying. lol Well, now the youngers and not quite laying are all together, so they are getting the flock starter. I started using that plus the oyster shells for the layers as they are in the other coop alone, but switched back to the layer for them. I was using all DuMour before.DuMor isn't horrible, but the cost vs Purina brand isn't worth the savings. I've even tried local mill brands, and my chooks all prefer Purina
The purina I just bought was more than the layer crumble, but about the same as the starter/grower I was buying.I think their game bird food is ok, but the other stuff is junk... I use Purina flock raiser from hatch to lay, ducks and chooks... slightly higher price, but quality is so much better they eat less so saves in long run... I know several breeders who recommend it too... I won't use Purina food for dogs or cats, but their livestock feed is good...
I see you're much quicker on the replies, lol...
