Phew, good news, I left a note on the mail box to leave the eggs and he did. Thank goodness. So no I have the eggs but my hygrometer isn't working. I did check the humidity with an indoor outdoor thing I have here, the sensor doesn't work but I just stuck the whole base in there, lol. The humidity is now reading 66% and I have my temp set at 101° right around where the top of the eggs would be. Do y'all think the temp is ok? I assume I need to lower the humidity for now right? Also, if all these thermometers are off by a degree or 2 will that hurt the eggs? If it's a degree or 2 hotter or cooler will it affect the hatch badly?

Temp is very important. You want to know that is right. You can get around the hygrometer, but not the thermometer. a degree or two flunctuation during incubation usually won't compromise a hatch, but say you think your thermometer is right and it's reading 101. You let it fluctuate a degree w/o worry. Well if it's really 101 and fluctuates a degree no problem. BUT if it's actually 103 and it fluctuates a degree, now you are looking at 104 which is very iffy in the long term. So you need to be confident that you know how accurate your thermometer is. Too low can delay your hatch and if it's significantly too low can cause developmental issues in the developing chick as well.
Your bator is the older model LG, right? Just ask and listen to what @AmyLynn2374 recommends, she is the LG Queen!

I thought I could hear Fabio yelling "take that, flocker!"

Well that's a relief. Chickens will be safe and sound.
Until it's mate comes to seek vengence.....

Now time to do the permanent repairs to the weaknesses he exposed to thwart the next attack

Good thinking...

I was sadisticly excited. Fist pumping all over the back yard :gig

I woulda been too... but I'm a bit more sadistic... Fabio and d'Uccles would be getting extra protein tonight if it was me... :gig

Still 11, no pips. I would let it run until tomorrow morning, then clean it up and set again. I don't know if I will do the eggtopsies this time

Well you got several beauties this time!

Break time is over for me... Back out in the heat to build a new coop and run for the LOs.

Did I tell you I bought some Americanas? (LOL)

So at the poultry swap - which was huge - I finally found some chicks about 3 weeks old. I ask the lady "what kind are they"?
Ameraucana
Really?
Yes.
They have barred wings?
Yes, they have some marins in them.
You mean Marans?
No marins, the cuckoo kind. But they are Ameraucana.
OK.

For $5 each I wasn't going to argue or attempt educating. They still have their chipmunk stripes on their backs, willow legs and barring on the wing feathers.Pea comb, so I guess there is hope for greenish eggs.
