with a set date for standard chicken eggs on October 10th, working on a thread later today, and will check with Nifty to be sure I can run a few contests if we get a few donations. And some extra Sally Sunshine fun along the way. I will need some helpers for a few things, so message me if you want to help or if you have some cool Halloween ideas!

Check out the wings on these babies! One week old.
First 2 pics are the same golden sebright.
Last 3 pics are the silver sebright/birchen modern game cross. That chick is totally black except for a little gray around the eyes. Don't know what it will grow out like (seeing as I was hoping for pure sebright and didn't get it), but so far, its gorgeous!

I wish I could be apart of this... but I am starting my first hatch back in november. Thanksgiving Hatch Along!!! Lol!!!! ;) Wow! I can't believe I missed the post where SC described all of us. Lol!!!! But I do have to agree with his opinions of everyone. Lol!!! Yes I do struggle to see through some windows....and I think it's because I miss the main post some how but I do catch alot...Asian Mafia...I honestly can't remember what hand signal I did to get dubbed that nickname. :lau :gig I am sorry I have not been on lately or as frequently. Life has been keeping me busy and well I was spending more time on here than with my kids and that's just not okay. So I have to limit myself to check only during down time or nap times. I miss chatting it up with you guys though. Lol! Sorry for blabbering on. Have. Wonderful day! @WVduckchick add my am to that list...and Ravyn and I are going to swap CCL eggs. I would like BCM eggs and a few duck eggs....not sure what else others have. I have the CCL and Silver Laced Polish and some backyard mixes.

But GFF imported 4 different lines of Cream Legbars, A, B, C and Jill Rees lines... they've dropped all the earlier lines and now only sell Rees lines... I'm not a fan of those, so mine are a mix of the other 3 older lines...
A couple of years ago, I was intrigued with the Legbars. They were stupid expensive then. Did some reading and found that one with a few resources for breeding pens could create their own Legbar, or any other ---- bar in about 3 generations. Since then, due to hearing that they're a bit flighty, not to mention their big combs, I'm focusing on breeding my own "land race" flock that will do well in my climate. I'm focusing on small combs, colorful eggs, less flighty disposition. My last season of birds, in retrospect, all but one could be gender id'd at hatch based on leg color, comb color, and feather pattern. Interesting, b/c I have one breeding rooster, and about 6 different breeds in the mix.

If anyone needs a ship a thin it's me!!! I haven't seen those days in 8 years at least!!! lol Sorry, I had too....
Count me in for the ship-a-thin. I'm offering: 10# of persistent belly roll. Has stayed the course for the last 21 years. Frequently increases in vigor during the winter months. Impervious to short term attempts to rein it in.

OK, I've never done this publicly. Sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. So, I'm asking in advance!

I don't have anything of specific breeding, but my flock for the most part have pea, rose or walnut combs, and produce some real purdy eggs. Would love to have some EE, Ams, or turkeys.

This is a generous group. I am sure that both you and I will be able to participate in this ship-a-thon/swap-a-thon to get some really cool eggs, even if no one wants ours. And of course turkey eggs will be shipping! Just not huge quantities as my breeding flock is small. Or my colorful mutts. like my double laced EasterCcchinBhrahma or some of the feather footed bearded EEs. All I could do is make a mixed basket.
