Again, ladies and gentlemen, note that his feet are FIRMLY planted in purple. Why they are so deeply planted that you can't even see them.

Time to get out your little fiberglass pole or your squirt gun and educate them. They are smarter than you think, and are fully capable of learning that the toes belong to the treat bearer. If I go out in sandles they always go after my skin! lol Worse if I go out barefoot!!!!
The girl's got spunk!!!

If anything comes of my banty broody thing I might get another one before spring...lol
I'm actually considering getting another dozen of eggs from the girl that I got these from to hatch next spring. I wanted four girls and two boys but I hatched 11, sold 5 early on keeping what I was hoping was 4 girls and 2 boys only to find 5 crowers...lol So My nephew took the extra roos. Out of the 5 early ones I sold I was sure 4/5 were boys. So if I was right- I ended up with 2/11 hens out of that hatch....lol Now I have a female and male....![]()
That is exciting, I dont blame you for being a proud Mum.As long as she doesn't decide to poke you in the eye...![]()
Too many breeds, not enough space! I think I would like to have some of those though...
I'm heading out this evening to go see my son's official swearing-in ceremony! He's a fireman, but they only do the ceremony every so often, so he finally gets to be official. I'm so proud of him, I just had to share..![]()

I'm sorry side wing......welcome to team purple my friend!!!Honestly I was worried she would set on the right ones the next day and then I would be like "are they dead or alive?" since it's 45 degrees here at night. I did it for myself. Really I did. I'm innocent!
I am going to say that....although I try not to candle during lockdown......I always candle once right before bed but my humidity was 75%+ so I was quick to grab one and look then put it back....only lifting and lowering the lid so. Barely had a drop in temp or humidity.Ok, I have a ?: If I can't candle how do I know when and if these little guys have pipped internally?
I just thought you were interrogating sideWing. All three of those pictures zooming in all at once was intimidating.
Darn. I was hoping someone would say "Candle them! Now!!" Lol. K, I'll keep an ear out for peeping.
Is anyone here good at sexing Silkies? Mine are almost 3 months. I know it's almost impossible til they crow or lay an egg but I figured I'd ask.
