Aww, sorry to hear about the one.  I've found out that I am no good for eggtopsies. I make it about half way and then chicken out.  I did find out that one of our quitters last time quit well before lockdown.  The one I posted a pic of was fully formed and not deformed and a girl, it just quit after internally pipping, not sure why.  The third one was I guess around day 16-17?  It was pretty well formed but the yolk was still huge. 

Reading all that, I guess I did eggtopsy them.  Felt like I yellahed.  

U did eggtopsy! Ur Not yella... Its not too terrible on me, i check em and so far i lost 6 clears, 4 early deaths, and this one who was deformed. Everything who was livin i have at least kept alive...once i knew they could breath i left em over night, no progress from where i left em

Yes, thank you. That's pretty much the game plan. I don't think he was ever positioned correctly by the way he looked pre-internal pip. I think he's going to need a full assist.

Is this something the broodies normally help with? I've never seen a natural hatch play by play, only the result. I wonder what the occurrence of stuck or shrink wrapped chicks is in a natural hatch? I've helped a couple out of shells but I was taking over, I don't know what the momma bird would have done.
