She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Yes yes i am here... An u already kno i got u, i have 5 hens who could start Any ole day Now! I disnt realize how dark they look in that picture, its hard to get them because theyd rather run 30 ft the other direction... I used to think my neighbors would hate me for putting them on the property line, but often i catch em lookin at em, and showin them to their company!

How old are they now, Turk?

:he i dont Exactly know... I didnt hatch em an neither dis the lady i got em from, ive had them since july. When i got them i estimated about a month?

Were they fully feathered then or still a bit fuzzy? Got any pics from then? Might be able to narrow down their age... :)

Look like they woulda been hatched in June then... maybe late May? My 2 big girls were hatched late May, not laying yet but they're mating so probably soon... if the girls start becoming receptive or enticing to the boys then I'd say they'll start within the month after that...

Love the little pudgels!! :)

So I did some day 7 candling. Does this look like a double yolker? Didn't look like it when I set them :(

also my air cells look a little bit big. This means humidity is to high?

Looks like it's just developing to me... is that the air cell up top? If so, I wouldn't call that too big... but if air cells are too large, then humidity is too low... what's the humidity running at?

It just looks different than the others. Instead of more of a circle its a U shape. I will trace the air cells and take pictures once my phone gets charged a little bit more. The current humidity is at 40% with no water in it.

If it's "u" shaped it's saddle cell. Never adjust humidity for a single egg, always go by the majority and use a "normal" shaped air cell to judge. It's harder to judge with saddle cells.
