Had I been able to be homeschooled, I would have excelled so much more than I did in PS. I was very bullied and hated school. My goal was to be invisible and get through the day. (When I wasn't faking being sick trying to convince my mother to keep me home.)

I have to remind my son every once in a while that public school is always an option....lol Not something he likes hearing...lol

Check into Home School Legal Defense Association. My parents were members for years while homeschooling all of us. They can probably help you out.

In order for us to afford homeschooling, we née to use K-12, which is available in this state. In order to do it though, it has to have a sponsoring school district. There are real teachers that grade the papers and conference with the kids and parents. My child would have to be enrolled in the sponsoring district therefore the district we live in would lose funding for my child. In this state, I'm not surprised...the politicians think weird sometimes, they love loopholes.
