It unplugs so you can plug it to an inverter...
Ok I'm sorry I'm bad with words
So is the inverter NEEDED to make it run
I'm basically unsure it the bator itself runs on 12v or 120v
No... it has regular plug for electrical socket... middle of the power cord can separate to plug into an inverter in case your power goes out so you can plug it into your car or generator...
Some of the deals include that inverter for emergencies...

Pretty much, it runs on 12v but the included power cord has the transformer built in to convert it to 120v... I think that's right... and the cord into the bator unplugs from the transformer so the inverter can be plugged into it there... I think that's right, lol...
It looks like a typical laptop computer power cord...
