She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Yep, you're a yankee for sure. Down here you can't graduate third grade if you don't know how

That's what I love, there is just so much diversity. They all fight 10 times harder than freshwater, they all have teeth, and they all taste good.
Nope, not gonna do it...
I shot bb guns in my youth...lol Does that count

Live in NY..you know, over on the left side, where there is no salt water.....

I like fishing, but someone else has to eat the fish. We usually went bullhead fishing....I always named them Dan.

Hi Amy could you tell me what my humidity should be for days 1-18 I,m using an homemade incubator and my humidity as stayed a steady 45% is this OK and what should my humidity read from day 18 I,ve read so many different answers and from reading this thread I believe if anyone knows it would be you.

Were all the eggs about the same age? I mean, were some of them ones that you had held for several days, even weeks? I remember someone incubating some that were almost a month old, but can't remember who. If you can't figure out the problem, I'm sure I can't! Just trying to think of possibilities.

The first one to hatch was set the day after it was laid, but none were more than 15 days from my eggs and I had 7/13. The bought eggs, only 1 out of 21 and no date codes on them.

A BB gun counts, but it should not be the culmination of your shooting activities.

I live in Michigan, and it's a lot farther to salt water than it is from upstate NY. So I go south to the Laguna Madre.

Do you like any kind of fish? Salmon? Snapper? Mahi mahi? Yellowfin tuna? Chilean Sea Bass? Spotted Seatrout? Rainbow trout? You can catch all of those, and a couple of them in your neck of the woods, some you can buy, the rest you will have to go fish for. :)

I don't eat bluegill, bass, bullhead, carp, or pike, I do like what the Canadians call pickerel and we call walleye, I love smoked whitefish (but smoked sturgeon even more), I love salmon whether grilled, planked, smoked or as sushi...

45% isn't bad. The best way to tell if the humidity rate you are using is working for you is to monitor the air cells, (or some people monitor by weight.) I prefer 30-35% in my LG styrofoam bator. Humidity levels will react differently in different bators and ambient humidity also affects it. This is the method that I use to ensure my humidityis working for me: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.451559868263676.1073741905.365743116845352&type=3

For lockdown, that depends a lot on your habits as a hatcher. If you are hands off and don't open the bator after lockdown you can run fine at 65%, if you are are like me, (a meddler) and open the bator during hatch you definitely want a higher humidity. I use 75%.

Welcome to the thread. I'm glad you could join us.

I don't do fish or seafood. I can't even stand the smell of it. I can do a tuna sandwhich if I don't have to see the tuna before it's mixed and it has a good amount of mayo and onion to cover the fishy taste....lol. I can also do those grocery store frozen breaded clams if I have enough tarter sauce to drown them in.....and sc, don't hit me!!!! lol I can't help it I have a picky palate...lol

As for travelling....I don't...lol I went to Iowa once w/my best friend for her nephew's graduation, and I've been down the East Coast to Florida a handful of times. I worked in NC a couple weeks back in '99 I think it was, after a hurricane and my company needed help. I would love to visit Texas, not to mention, Australia (my dream) and Ireland/Scotland of course...lol I just don't like driving and being in a car...lol

Up here bass and bullhead are the norm along with trout. Not too many do bluegill and sunfish. When I lived in the 'Cuse area the carp was huge, but I don't know anyone that ate them.

Another fighter for the red corner!!! Yay!! I have the same problem...lol I consider myself very good at not assisting before needed or to the extreme, but when it comes to having my chicks out and the bator free from shells, not to mention my pips rolled over so I can see them, I'm OCD...lol Usually it just warrants me a slap from sc....lol Thankfully he's many miles away so it's just a virtual smack...lol
