She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I guess even if they don't last several years, it was still free lumber, and the enjoyment of the creation!

Exactly. If it doesn't hold up, with a little practice I will feel comfortable buying treated wood next time. It's very cool looking, and amazingly comfortable

It's awesome! Just build a frame around the cooler, then go from there. All it's missing now is a catch can for the caps

I'll use the pallet wood for the top, but I will do the rest with a pole frame. I just built a picnic table two weekends ago from a bunch of small balsam fir and pines. Mortise and wedged through tenons are quick and strong.

Processing almost done. 7 presold, all 4-5 pounders. That leaves the big ones for me.

Three shrink bagged for the freezer...

7 poly bagged to sell fresh

And these will be cut up and bagged in various ways...setting all wings aside for special treatment.

SC, how was your smoked chicken?

Holy cow, those things are huge compared to mine. How old did you say they were?
The smoked chicken was great. My neighbor was high stepping all the way home

They hatched March 27, so they were 67 days old. That's longer than they are typically raised, but I get a good layer of subcutanaceous fat across the back so they self-baste.

Here's the older one..but yep that egg is a Tolbunt too.. and have several started.. if either of you ladies can scare up some GL eggs I'll happily send Tolbunts to both of you..lol. never ever figured they'd be this hard to get my greedy hands on, but they had other plans..I did find some Tolbunt/GL split eggs on here with some project colors in the same pen so fingers crossed I get a few of what I need out of those ♡♡
