Here's the older one..but yep that egg is a Tolbunt too.. and have several started.. if either of you ladies can scare up some GL eggs I'll happily send Tolbunts to both of you..lol. never ever figured they'd be this hard to get my greedy hands on, but they had other plans..I did find some Tolbunt/GL split eggs on here with some project colors in the same pen so fingers crossed I get a few of what I need out of those ♡♡

Do you know if they come from a cross or do they have to be pure bred to get the GL? Sorry, I'm totally ignorant about the genetics of them.

One of the GL hens I'm getting eggs from came from a silver laced roo over a blue laced hen (project bird) and breeder later found out the roo had GL gene too. So they can pop up out of other pairings but probably not common..I don't think those would breed true either but for what I'm wanting, they'll be fine..

And don't feel bad, I'm not super informed on them, but plan on having a pen of Tolbunts and then a pen with Tolbunts and whatever I get from these other eggs..that will be to improve type eventually once I get the color in that 2nd pen where I want it

I'm going to have to learn how to freeze them. I have 10 unsold cuckoo marans roos that will probably find their way to the freezer in another month or two. Did you say shrink wrap? I have a vacuum sealer, but shrink wrap would be easier
