Well I am sad. I only had one Buff Laced polish survive out of 8 eggs. all were malpositioned which leads me to believe I did not let my shipped eggs sit long enough and incubation problems. Now I just have this poor little thing that likes to sleep on my chest. I sure hope its a girl so I can keep her.

That's a shame, they are such beautiful birds.

Don't feel bad..my first order was 18 eggs..had 2 hatch and had to cull one (after almost 2 weeks of trying to save it)..this setting was 24 eggs..looks like 9 developing

I set 21, had one blood ring before day 7. Last I knew they were all progressing just great. I will say, I will be surprised if the polish crosses hatch alright. Simply because I think the eggs were still a bit small for incubating There were 3 of them. The silkies were a bot bigger but they were a bit smaller than I would have liked too and I think there was 4 of those, but they weren't looking as cramped as the Polish. I will say my last two hatchers I only had three in each that failed to hatch, so 17 is very plausible...lol That would give me 81% from set and 85% from lockdown, I'd really like to get my first 100% from lockdown though...lol

Good morning SC and all if you think I'm going to show the morning pictures to my wife your are nuts. I'm already in trouble over the work I do for other people. those spiral nails in pallets are a pain. Little trick to save a nice pallet board use a wonder bar from the bottom lift the board just enough to get the nail out of the stringer tap the board down twist the nail out with vice grips. I do my coops with what ever I can get free. I showed my wife the pictures of the coops. I said I needed to paint ours . there was a lengthy comment I can't repeat .so they will stay unpainted for now .once again I love it all.

Oh yea, the beer would disappear long before that!

Hey - how long have you had the pallet furniture? I wonder how long they will actually last.

I would think if they were sealed/stained they should last a good while.
