Her post really was a perfect situation to bring it up on. Someone ws treating someone else like they were insane for opening after lockdown. It can be so frustrating for newbies to get such conflicting advice. At least here we can tell them both sides and let them figure it out for themselves without being judgemental. Then, after the newbies are around for a while, I have more people to

Thank you for responding. When I started the batch I wanted to do weights. I almost thought about NOT weighing them last night, but I wanted to see it through this hatch. This will be the last hatch I do weighing. Like you said, to much conflicting info!! I think I will add a couple drops of water. I have toothpaste caps in there. I hate that I'm so torn. I get so emotionally invested in my eggs. Watching them grow and then rooting for them to pull through. By the way, happy lockdown!!!

Yeah, lol...that was me! It was getting a little heated between 2 newbies (like myself) about opening up the incubator during lockdown to help a chick with a yolk. I was trying to mediate and let them know that to each their own as long as its whats best for the hatch.

Where did you get 8.6 figure? In my last hatch, the 10 that hatched had ranged from 9.1-12.8% on day 14.

I'm not good at the whole weighing thing but if your overall weight is supposed to be 13% weight loss then you divide that by 3 to get the weight loss for each week.

Scooby dobbie doo. Man just thinking about that show makes me hungry for some reason. That shaggy and scooby always had the munchies and shaggys eyes were always red guess he didn't sleep well. Maybe he stayed up candling and weighing eggs. Hey Amy are your eyes blood shot too :/
