Yes the polish!! But polish chickens or polands as they should be called didn't originate in Poland, it was somewhere like Netherlands or something like that.

I have never heard that, and I wish more people knew. I never, ever refridgerate my eggs, and I think that's what puts uneducated people off about them. They see them on the counter, and they think "Oh my god, they'll spoil". Then you have to explain to them that since you aren't washing them in a commercial scrubber with 8 million other eggs, they will actually keep on the counter for 3 months, six in the fridge.

I yeah we in the USA are brainwashed that leaving eggs out spoils them. You can leave eggs on the counter for weeks with no issue, months if you put mineral oil on them.

We do need to refrigerate them BECAUSE we wash them and take off the natural protection from bacteria (bloom).

In Europe they figure the risk is higher that some minimum wage schmuck is going to leave old bacteria water in the egg washer than it is that you have the 1 in a million chance of salmonella being IN the egg AND not cooked out. I agree with them.

Overall we have a fantastic country, fabulous natural resources, every type of land you could want, a great mix of people and beliefs, but we are wrongly educated and terribly brainwashed by big business . I think the origin of the Polish is as hotly contested as the football vs football discussion. Speaking of brainwashing the UK, how did they ever convince you guys that soccer was actually a sport?
