Now apart from his new comb and 1/2 toes, he was used as an experiment with my dogs, who promptly ran him 2000 yrds into the bush, felled him beside a log, and stripped his feathers on either side of his tail feathers...so show quality, nope, not now, but when he arrived...he was Top Dog

Seriously, it has been a running joke for me on here about how brutal the other thread is, but if someone is serious about SOP, then that's the best thread on the site. I know my bird is an automatic DQ, that's why I volunteered to post him, so the regulars on the thread could see what you guys are looking for. People ask me, and I have learned a little, but I have nowhere near the eye or the experience as you guys. I thought it would be interesting for our guys to see how a real breeder looks at a bird. If anyone else from that thread shows up, be brutally honest with mine. I'm a big boy, I can take it

So is Ameraucana what they call BCM rejects? Who came up with the breed; Ameraucana? Cause that name has definite EU origins, no?

I should add, that's an awesome looking Roo, who cares what breed!

My boy wants to be a Salmon Faverolle but he came from a green egg and has bare yellowish shanks and a rose comb. All in all, he's still a very handsome rooster.



The big boy thinks he's a Light Brahma, and looks like one. But he, too, came from a green egg. I don't like the line of his back as much as the other guy, but his daughters are really nice looking.
