She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Well Ive now read the first 1100 post and needed to comment on the large coop/runs mentioned.

We found 1 way to get a good chicken coop for keeping predators out. When you think its done, put a cat in there and lock it in. put the cats favorite treat about 2 feet from the coop. go away. come back later - if the cat is no longer in the coop - you need to fix your design. if it is - well done, you now just need to make sure the wire is too thick for a rat or fox to eat.
Well if you had my cat.....he would just sit there and stare at the the treats until you felt bad enough to let him out. He is so lazy. He just watches birds fly by which i am okay with. He is 11 years old and he's our Old Man Tuffie.

Thank you and thanks to everyone else for sending the luck my way. The eggs were from ebay. I really only bid on the turkey eggs and he threw in 8 bcm eggs too. It is still disappointing even though they were a bonus. I wouldn't have bought eggs that are shipped but it seems to be quite limited in what's on offer in my area. Bantam and silkie appear to be common. I will probably try marans aga in later. I would like to try some blue eggs too.
