Aww she's a cutie
Just got the coop up today! I've been looking at and brainstorming run options all day. Thank you for the link. Do they ship? It looked more like a "local" deal.
I think it's a great option but as someone stated before, I could only do it if the bird was anesthetized. People used to consider the meat to be a delicacy. No testosterone...so the meat is not tough. But I read about these gas balls, or air bubbles that come up under the skin after you close the incision and you have to keep popping them...that part grosses me out!
OH NO!!!!!!! I am so sorry. I had some die that way before and were doing well! I was so heart broken. It died in the shell. It's beak was covered by the membranes and it must have suffocated. It was very sad. Only 3 left out of the 4. Hoping they make it. Don't know if I will do shipped eggs again.
Just Keep zipping!!! Just keep zipping!!!7 hatched. 2 zipping. 1 more piped. 10 out of 14 would be great. I'm confident the incubator is tuned in now.
Its going to be happening all around!!!! I go into lockdown in 1 week!!!!Not
Not for me yet. I'm still waiting for eggs to set.
That's great it turned out well so far.Well thanks hon. I'm quite proud of my cheap homemade little hot boxTrying to decide exactly what turkeys I want lol I was thinking jersey buff cause I want to have all rare fowl if possible. I'm big on conservation
Congrats on Anniversary!!!! and again Just keep zipping! Just keep zipping!!!Sorry for the quick updates. I'm on my anniversary date weekend and getting updates from my daughter. 9 hatched and 2 more zipping out of 14 shipped eggs. I feel so blessed!
Beautiful color! I am in love!
Well I fear I may never go on vacation again. I got the most tragic call this morning every single one of my baby chicks were found dead. They apparently drowned. Day 2 away from home and I lost another 10. This is the roughest time I think I have ever had. I am going to pull my hair out I'm so stressed. I knew I should have smuggled the little ones in the car with me. I know you cant save them all but if I was home I could have at least brought them inside out of the rain. So next time find a crazzy chicken person to babysit them. Then i know they will be right on top of things and worry as much as I do.
Sorry for my rant had to get it off my chest.
