BR is out of wifi for the week. Shan is busy this week. MP is not on much because BR isn't on. My wifi is out on my iPod. So, as you can imagine, things are quiet.

So getting the buff turkey eggs is not working out :( possibly geeting some cornish chicken eggs though. Cackle hatchery sells out early every year. So hopefully If I can hatch some I'll be able to sell them without issue.
Eggs 6 finally pipped, 2 days late-lazy bugger. Egg 8 working on it's hatch still.

Yes she did not like being immobilized!
Ok, that is making more sense. My mind is a bit flustered today, crazy work stuff going on, but I'm concerned about my baby and want to figure something out. A sketch would be great, if its not asking too much...

Instead of a sketch I made a sling, rather like this but shaped for a turkey poult. The results were amusing. My poult decided she was dying and kept throwing itself upside down and screaming, so I removed it before she hurt herself. I think a few strips of vet wrap would be less traumatic.

Here is the procedure: http://www.vetsurgerycentral.com/ortho_luxation_hip.html

I have 79 unread posts to catch up on but I have to run into a meeting. Before I do, I wanted to show you my Brinzea.

This is Frankenbator. I made a page for it (its in my sig).

By using Flex Watt heat tape I get a more even distribution of heat and the incubator comes back up to regulated heat quicker after candling (about 4 minutes). Using the Flex Watt also allows me to put heat directly over a cup(s) or jar(s) of water to increase humidity during incubation and lockdown. By doing this I avoid using sponges and I don't have the mess, the chance of dripping on eggs, and I don't have to open the incubator as often if at all. I can also run with the vents open and it does not affect the temps because the flex watt is so efficient.

11 hatched out of 14 shipped eggs ain't bad!
