Oh my it sure does take some keeping up with this thread!!
Just dropping by to say the little polish has done it!! She has hatched all 4 eggs off and is doing a great job with them. Had a couple of instances where she has trodden on them but that's to be expected as she can't see anyway. As this is my first broody hen it's a pleasure to watch things done naturally. How she keeps them in check and has shown them how to eat and drink. It really is a wonder to behold!!

Awww! Mama is so beautiful!! I really want some polish frizzles but I'm going to hold off for breeding reasons. I love her though!!! And the babies are adorable too!

So, I have a question for you guys. Lots of you-most of you-use a screen name far from your original name, but you sign posts/pms with your real name or you have your real name listed on your profile info. So, would you guys rather be called by your real name or your screen name???  I've been curious for a while now, when someone signs posts/pms especially, with their "real" name if that's what they'd be prefered to be called. I know personally I prefer Amy to Amy Lynn, but don't really care, either way it is my name...lol

Sorry to bring it up, looks like we just got over this question but it was in my multi-quotes. I don't care. Jessica or Ruby is fine. Rubynala97 is my very first and only email. It was our family dogs name. She was a great dog. So sad when we lost her. So I honor her memory by keeping it. It's grown on me after almost 20 yrs. wow I'm getting old!

Not to keep bringing up family...but my brother is an unemployed pot head that stays with wichever friend or child that will let him. We very seldom even speak. He doesn't even call or come around to see how our father is. If we run into him in town I get the "I've been wondering how dad's been." BS. Only time he calls is if he needs something.

Well I have 9 cheeping chicks!!!!!! The last one just hatched and is in the incubator drying off. The others were just getting too rambunctious and stepping on and pecking each other so I had to move them to the brooder. They are so cute!!!! When they all fluff out real nice here in the next day or so I will post pics of all of them!!!

My question was basically for those who do use their real name in posts and pms, not for those who go by their screen names. I see many who sign posts and pms with their real name, so I was wondering if they preferred to be called by their name or screen name.  I used to have in my siggy, "Just call me Amy" but I had to change it up for my links, and half the people still called me AmyLynn anyway...lol.   I could care, just wanted to know if the people who used their real name would rather be called by their name or screen name.

The answers I got came from the people whom it wasn't even geared at, which is fine, but a lot of attitude about why people use their screen names that wasn't neccessary. I was not asking anyone to reveal their real name, I don't care, I just was curious about something and asked what was preferable. I slipped using sc's name and I apologize, but the question didn't even pertain to that. I was trying to clear the air as to WHO the question was asked and WHY. That is why the discussion has continued. I'm sorry I had a curiosity. One apparently that will remain a curiosity.

I've been selling birds left and right! I am a bit surprised. Two turkeys and two layers picked up today, my Narragansett breeding pair is pending pickup, and four week old poults are going tomorrow afternoon.

I'm going to miss my Narri tom, I raised his father from a poult, and him from an egg. He is a sweetheart and a gorgeous young tom. He is my turkey ambassador, but he is going to have a bigger harem for his own.

Thank you. See, that's all I was looking for. Sad about the dog. Almost all the dogs we've had since before I can remember all lived to a ripe age where they had to be put down due to an age issue that was causing them to suffer. I still look at dogs and see my first who was 15 or 16 when we had her put down. Always great to remember and keep their memory alive. As for the brother- do we share one? lol

Seems we have lost that spontaneous, tolerant tone that we once had on this thread. I am very sad to see it go. The random swirls of topic with everyone's life is amazingly refreshing.
