She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

In case anyone is wondering, this is the thread:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...ck-out-of-here-a-diary-of-a-crazy-chicken-man

It's one of those monster threads that you may not look at because it is just so big, and you have to read it from the beginning. I started reading the first few pages, and it's like a book you can't put down. I won't read current posts, or post on that thread, because I seriously don't want to ruin the story

I got 100 pages in and have barely scratched the surface. He should write a book. I am so early on in the experience that I look at it like a movie. Don't tell me what happens...

My lips are sealed... :)

Exactly... I went through it the same way... VERY worth it...

My broody is on 8 eggs since Sunday afternoon. Pulled one today to check, faint veining visible. She had a loco moment or two where she was off the nest for about 3 hours running away from invisible demons, but has been pretty much sitting tight to the nest since then. Am doing a repeat of my gender selection experiment. Broody hens are boring! Water: check. Feed: check. Still alive: check. Done.

Even one less step with a Brinsea. Water: check. Power on: check
I have never candled a broody egg
Did you say what breed it was?

Okay everyone!!!! I have a serious question here. Remember those chicks that I rescued...well now a couple of them are sneezing and I noticed today that one  pullet had a bubble coming from her nostril. Does this sound like cryoza? I mean I smelled everyone's faces.....:hu  no smell....well smelled like a chicken. Nothing putrid. So I hope its just a cold from all this rain we are getting...and now if it worse case I have exposed my entire ****** flock!!!!! :somad :he   What am I to do???? I have the pullet in quarantine but the other 2 that are sneezing are still in with the other guys because I do have a pen big enough to quarantine all of them. So.... I am treating the remaining flock with antibiotics...and probiotics.  I swear....I am never going to rescue chickens again. I cant even sell them right now because they are freakin sick!!!!! Someone please just shoot me.....plus my kids are making me want to pull my hair out!:hit :th

See this is exactly why I'm stopping myself from doing that rescue, I wanted to do. There is a great article on the BYC homepage about quarantine. At this point I would google it as a respiratory infection and treat everyone. Hope it clears up quick!

I have typed and deleted 3 responses. I guess I have a big heart, too :gig

I knew you'd want to jump on that! See, you can sensor yourself! ;)

I started reading it too, awhile back. Then I switched over to here and haven't been back. His thread is what made me start weighing my eggs. I gotta get back over there to read. I want to find out what happens too!

I hope she hatches some babies! :)

If you read this entire thing, I will give you a teaser. The post I am most proud of was the "Across the Pond

" trilogy. A lot went into it, but Yorkshire deserved it
