She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

30 eggs set 73% of those made it to lockdown. 33% of eggs set now in brooder as live fluffies , 50% made it at least as far as pipping.( the 33 is part of the 50 of coruse)
Far better than the 11% hatched 16 % pipped I got last time .
45% of eggs lockdown are now in brooder.
68% of eggs lockdown made it at least as far as pipping. May finish today, or I may give the last eggs another 48 hours to wake up, haven't decided yet.

You said there were chickens on the thread, then named a few of us after chickens. To be truly funny, everyone will have to be a chicken in some way...
You have much to learn young padawan
Okayyyyy. RIR works nicely for the Amy who posts more often. And Leghorn...is BYC? Enlighten me, oh master Jedi ( :gig)

Wait you can go to the dump to get stuff?!?
We call our dump the "local Mall". They made it illegal to dump pick after some bozo grabbed the rake off the hanger on the wall, used it to drag some stuff out of the metals bin, then didn't hang it back up. It fell over and scratched up someone's new truck. Now, we can't legally pick, though there is a recycle garage for household goods, and the employees politely look the other way when I fill up the truck with goodies. We also have an awesome compost area where folks dump their compostables, and one of the employees goes down and regularly turns the heaps with a front end loader. But, he's not allowed to fill up folks trucks since the rake incident.

I'm about to be totally impulsive. I found hatching eggs from a different breeder. I can make the purchase now. Checked out her FB page and birds are beautiful!!! But I would be doing shipped again. I checked my messages again, it shows that the more local breeder saw my message but never responded. I don't want to make a bad business move but I haven't heard back from her and I wrote her on Monday morning. What should I do???
Ruby, if you haven't already closed the FB sale, well... I hope you have. You owe nothing to the other person, and I'd not even bother with any further communication. Enjoy your hatch!

My broody came off the nest for a quick dust bath today, so I grabbed her eggs and brought them in for a quick candle. The one that got yolked and washed was dead, but the other 6 were alive and kicking. Day 11.
