She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

The babies are here! 6 little fuzzys so far and 5 still trying to hatch. I'm supposed to leave in incubator for a day? When do we I start giving food and water?

Cannot express how happy I am for you!! That's great! Pictures please!!

Take them out whenever you want, (I'd wait for no pips in progress) and let them eat right away.
(just never let them have food without water available)

Been wanting to do this for a while, so for mine and hubby's 10th anniversary, we went to the tattoo parlor!!
My right ankle... I love it!!!

@caesargirl

love it!

I use Hatchabatch, but there are others out there.  It works really well for taking notes and setting up reminders.  You can't really customize it though, it's pretty basic.

will have to check it out. I just printed a piece of paper numbered 1-28 with the coordinating date and 3 blank turn spots to "x" it when the eggs have been turned. Trying to keep it hands on for our girls (8 & 11) but still organized.

The post office has officially lost my eggs! :hit
I'm so upset!! I just left there and spoke to the manager and they act like they just don't care.

On a better note, we saw Pixels today, Amy. Very cute movie!

I would be pi ss ed!!!!! I am so sorry.

So I broke down and bought an incubator. It has been on for 3 hours now. The thermometer on the lid says 96* and the one I calibrated with my candy thermometer says 100*. Is it normal to have the two a few degrees off?

Never trust incubator gages especially if they are Little Giants.  If you have a calibrated thermometer, that's the one to believe.

Agreed!

I went with the Farm Innovations. Also said the humidity was 85%. I need to find my household humidity gauge to stick in there. Its only 35% room air (according to the weather channel) I did wash but not dry. I was shooting to put the eggs in tonight but might wait till the morning. Also the book I got with it said to sanitize the eggs before placement, is this necessary? They are not dirty or poopy. Thanks for the advice :)

Is it digital don't add water yet If you did take it out !!!!!!!!! If its not digital don't  trust it at all if it is digital don't trust it at all .is it the pro 4200 post a picture .calibrate candy thermometer and use that If the eggs are clean no need to sanitize spot wash with a damp cloth. shoot for 35-45% humidity .

Agreed!! I never wash my eggs and if they are covered in poo I don't use them.

Congrats!!!! Don't need food until day 3 after hatching. But I always introduce mine to food by day 2.

Silkies are too stupid to be called Brinsea. I would call one LG, but their hatch rates are too high. Not one splayed chick all year

:lau I like that!!!

Lord help me when they go broody next year :gig

You're in trouble.
