She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Nice!!  If I ever get ducks, I will be choosing between the Cayuga and Black Indian Runner.

Those chicks are adorable!  Mississippi, right?  I wonder if they sell hatching eggs. . . :D

Yes they do. But I told her I didn't want to know what breeds she had available. Hubby would probably have a fit. However, he was just talking about building more coops on the other side of the garden. He really is coming around. I figure I have to put up with his family, the least he can do is put up with my chickens.

My chickens vs my family, the chickens win every time

I talked the man into takin his post down, it was over the weekend, i offered him my husbands nail guns and compressor as collateral LOL!!!

Lol. That's the sort of thing I would do. I sold my saddle to build more coops. My poor old horse died years ago. Didnt need the saddle. I have a huge barn with stuff I can sell. I have a car that I want to sell nothing wrong with it but I don't need 3. Time to give it a detail a list it. Ha ha .

Lovely ducks! Yes, he's definitely a drake... don't see drake feathers on any others... how old are they? And how many of them full out quack vs the drakes raspy quack?

I swear i just realized u had your hometowns name posted, i feel so dumb! doesnt mean much to most people, but i have an uncle in Pearlington, you really wouldnt even need to ship to me, if u ever want to trade! I need to see these guys grow out and make sure theyre pure, the lady i got em from had no idea about long term stuff, she had bought them an then decided she didnt wanna grow em out. I guess my Cajuga are only like 3-4 months old, i dont have Anything exact on them, except the day i got em :( so i just dont expect their eggs until spring. Theyre spose to be very seasonal girls.

Guys, tonight is the night for the peachicks to go. I'm getting all nervous and anxious over here. I'm sending them with a 20lb bag of food and their stuffed teddy bear they sleep with. Man...why did I want to hatch them again!! Wish them luck, they're gonna need it!

It's time for them to grow up and be peachicks! Best of luck (and peaceful nights) to you and them.

I opened the door between my banty youngsters, EE youngsters, young poults and the older, tougher crowd. After a couple of days and a few corrections of some overeager jakes, it's pretty quiet in there except when an EE cockerel spazzes out and runs into numerous turkeys. The banties just stay under the feeder until dark, I think they are just afraid of the size of the big turkeys, they don't even come up to their knees.
