She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Ducks are the best to candle... love it when they start swimming around in there with those tiny little webs...

I'm trying not to look cuz I have a batch of shipped eggs... and I don't want to get false hopes up... lol...

I cant imagine! I will keep both of yall entertained w my candling as much as i can! A pic a day?

Shipped eggs are so hard.  As soon as I think I'm never going to order shipped eggs again, I see something really great and unavailable near me!

I have these, but really need a second line... and these are really good quality, been trying to get them for months, lol...

I like Jack better...

I had 1 mean roo... got rid of him and all his offspring... I don't breed aggressive attitudes...

Thanks Ravyn, he's a nice bird, much more typical Orloff coloring, but does not have the strong beetle brow that I love, and is not as "gamey" looking. On the flip side, he doesn't have feather stubs between his toes, either!

Just my opinion... :) I don't know RO standards... but do know that feather stubs are extremely hard to breed out... or at least take quite a while...

Nice, you can rock the baby and stare at the incubator at the same time! Hope the little one gets better soon.

After I came in the house I waffled a bit on whether I would cull, then got a FaceTime call from my 3 year old grandson. He asked me if he could come see the chickens. He'll be visiting in a month and the thought of him being attacked made me sick. (Even though he would never, ever be let in the run alone with the flock.)

I have mixed feelings. I also have Jack, who is the same age and doesn't even look sideways at me, and is much, much quieter. With a really small flock like mine, I have to be choosy in who stays and who goes.

I'm just a hobbyist, trying to build a better Orloff. And that includes nice temperament.
Like I said before....why are the nice looking guys always the jerks???? LOL Actually they are both nice looking.

I have not wanted to do shipped eggs, BUT I am thinking about the possibility for next spring if I do not find what I am looking for locally. I was even scoping out e-bay tonight...lol I'm going through hatching withdrawls....lol

You are right, and several people in the RO club are struggling with that.

LOL That's funny. I also like a pic a day since I'm not hatching anything until spring. Just watching everyone else and wishing.......
