She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

@scflock Here is one of my fellas with his crooked comb and boots with the fur. Do you think the comb will straighten out?

In my experience, the crooked and floppy Combs only get worse as they get bigger. Looks like I have four roosters in the first batch, so I should have plenty of experience to let you know more in a few months :gig
Sales continued again today. Five silkies, and D'uccle trio. This has been my second biggest weekend of the year. Now I am working on switching all of my coops to PVC feeders. Trying to make things as simple as I can, because before long it will be dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home

I've always used regular gravity feeders from the feed stores, and always had a lot of waste. I made a copy of a PVC gravity feeder I saw on BYC a couple weeks ago, out of 4" pipe & a "Y", and the waste has gone to ZIP! Been in use about 10 days now & haven't had to refill yet.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Making 14 of them
ETA: sold enough chickens this weekend to pay for the supplies :thumbsup

I use oxine. What is going on with your hatch?

What is oxine? Is it at the farm store? I was hoping to use some soap, bleach, vinegar or something I have at home.

As for the eggs I dont know what happened. I am thinking either they weren't fertile or my thermometers were off. Kinda bummed not a single one from my first incubation attempt. We had duck eggs for breakfast yesterday and saw my first "bullseye" so maybe something from the next batch.
