Yeah... I am a history major... Research is my thing. That, and my husband is joining in the chicken madness, and asking me all sorts of questions about incubation and hatching that I had no answers for and had to look up. The sad thing about being a history major and enjoying research is I never found a place in employment for it to be useful for me. So I use it on other things in life, like this

All of my stock is older, or still young and unproven, but there is a possibility I will have a few Russian Orloff, Olive eggers, EE's & mis-marked Ameraucanas. Definitely willing to share my experimental eggs if anyone is interested.

FYI I am going to have a simple

HATCH-A-LONG
with a set date for standard chicken eggs on October 10th, working on a thread later today, and will check with Nifty to be sure I can run a few contests if we get a few donations. And some extra Sally Sunshine fun along the way. I will need some helpers for a few things, so message me if you want to help or if you have some cool Halloween ideas!

I'm looking at it like paid advertising. If I successfully ship eggs, and they hatch, the recipients get nice chickens and I start my shipping career on a good note. I'm footing the shipping. Whoever gets eggs, they are totally free. If they hatch, spread the word

But yes you are right @scflock it is very hard work to keep up on here especially when you are all so active when I'm in bed!! Hundreds of posts to read and catch up on when I've been gone. I've been a busy old bee here over the pond right now. Getting things ready for the winter and the business is busy too right now so I can't look a gift horse in the mouth when it is. Still got some birds left to sell too, they are 12 weeks now and are sexed so was hoping things would pick up but I'm afraid not. I've not had the incubator on for 12 weeks OMG 12 weeks I'm not sure how I've managed it!! I've rehomed my 2 Roos so no fertile eggs right now. Getting just one new boy next spring for some colour variety.

You and Cynthia are long time members with thousands of posts. This thread has a little different identity than the other threads you guys are usually on. We like you, and I can only speak for myself, but I am a little wary of you so I'm testing the waters a little more every day.

First 2 pics are the same golden sebright.
Last 3 pics are the silver sebright/birchen modern game cross. That chick is totally black except for a little gray around the eyes. Don't know what it will grow out like (seeing as I was hoping for pure sebright and didn't get it), but so far, its gorgeous!

Does anyone know the name of the "007 James Bond" chicken? I never watched any of those movies. Someone said there is an omelette he orders in the movie, but don't remember which one.
