She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

That's ok, bring it on.. I think they are on a roll! I hope. Even the animals are getting into the games. Touch Down!

Haha. I don't think that cat's last move is approved at BYU... If they pull it off this weekend at UCLA, then I'll be a believer.

I have no experience with shipped eggs. Is that what it does to air cells? I've never seen uneven lines like that
The top pic is the worst of all 12 cells. 1 side still rolls a bit. Butmost of the others have firmed up but are terribly misshapen. And 1 or 2 look almost normal.

meg...What breed is in there?  LF?   That air sac actually isn't too bad.  I've had a lot worse with shipped eggs.  Seeing lots of movement?  When you lock down, lay the egg in between the saddle, with just a little bit of the higher one poking up..make sense?
They're Welsummers. So lay it down with the 2 points of the saddle on either side?

It can, sometimes they look a lot worse.

if you want to fry my two and a half year old broody, have at it. I would guess you could find boot leather that would be more tender.
That's what crockpots are for!

That header should say "There's more than one way to open a window"

don't look small to me
X2, the air cells look pretty good.

Some say to hatch them tilted upright in cut-down egg cartons, and then you can lay them down when they start zipping. Not sure it makes that much of a difference though.

I agree. :) low and slow on those old birds.

I got them from eBay from a seller named FarmerGeorge. I think that was his name.
You'll have to make sure you post pictures! I have a few Welsummers. One 6 month rooster and 4 2 week old chicks. Just production quality, but I have been reading more about the breed and researching breeders.
