She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I'm glad folks liked my lyrics. My older kids get a kick out of/embarrassed by me and have dubbed me "Chicken Nerd." Which is funny because they know nearly as much as I do on the subject. Lol.

Congrats on overnight success to those that had pipping/hatching.

Congrats @sideWing and @RubyNala97 ! Ruby, your chick is adorable! sW, we want pics.

So, with a repaired cracked egg in the incubator, when should I candle to see if they (cracked most particularly) are developing? I know I should keep my hands off for a week or so. But it's so hard, i want to know if the cracked one is viable yet... It's not even day 3, but it's so tempting to do right now!

Unless the egg is white and you have a strong candler then more than likely you will not see anything. I would just wait till day 7

I would wait for day 7. If it is viable then it will have a better chance if it's undisturbed for a week. Good luck!

Great job!!! They are super cute!!! And that's impressive!

I learned really fast that That is why a stable incubation environment is so important... That sucker was awesome and say folks! The Brinsea Ocot 40 is worth the 400$ without a turner... My turner breaking upset me pretty good.

Im exploring the possible causes of so many malpositions. I had forgotten how the bator fell and that could def cause some mild development issues, it was day 9, so it had the oppurtunity to affect the blood vessles really badly...

The excess of clears probly came from stressed females...

And thats as far ad ive got...

4 were in malposition pose #2 and 2 were in pose #4, in reference to the avian website posted in Sallys Guide. 5 of those six is alive now from assistance. The one fatality also had a bill deformity :( the two who quit in my lockdown #s had DIS one right before draw, and the other one during draw.

The babies who i assisted were the only ones who remained sticky, but there was a little snotty like gunk on the edges of every egg, yellow mildew looking stuff inside of most, And thats aside from runny poop in yellow and white. Teach me!
