No need to invent. Use SMD LCD tape. Just find a brand with appropriate spacing.

I'm so upset right now! Today is hatch day. I have 4 external pips and at least 1 internal. I came to look in the incubator and check on them (I'm checking like every hour) and the temp was 75 degrees!! The fan was blowing inside the brinsea mini but blowing COLD air out!! Its not working!! Thank god I have another mini. I transferred them all over but I'm so afraid of issues now that they had cold air blowing on them!! They couldn't have been cold for longer then an hour. Please give me any advice or encouragement that they'll be ok. I'm so mad at brinsea. I would like to say a lot of four letter words right now!!

Not cook but kill the embryo with too much heat.

Not my led one. I can leave it on and it never warms up. I also have it in a shadow box I made from a photo box and a toilet paper roll so even if I switch lights I'll be okay.

Yes, use LED only for candling. Make sure the light is not blue though. Blue has a harder time penetrating brown, blue and green eggs.

I know I missed a lot of quotes but I've got 3 pips!!!

I had 2 horrible batches of shipped eggs and then this batch, that so far has been great. I bought 10 eggs, recieved 12 in the mail. 9 started to develop and 9 locked down!! Amy came back just in time to give me a parade if I hit, what is it for shipped 75%? Going to try to sleep while I can! So happy!

Day 3-4 is my fav too!!

Yes, we will definitely keep doing the parades. I think it was an awesome idea and a great way to acknowledge an accomplishment. However we are rounding down, not up. We'll stick to the 75% for shipped for now and 85% for locals. Does that sound good? If my math is correct 75% of 9 is 6.75 so 6 for a parade. Fair enough?

You're going to do great.

Don't panic! Don't panic! At the end of incubation they are producing their own heat. As it was not for a long period of time I'm sure they will be fine

Which model is the Brinsea? Does it have the cool down feature on it? This could explain the fan still working but not producing any heat.

Thank you, everyone. I really did panic for a minute. Nothing like looking at pips and then seeing the temp is 75 and blowing cold air, to make your heart stop for a minute. We put so much into these eggs for 3 weeks, it's hard to think of going so far and then loosing them. I'm happy to report I've got another pip!! So 5 external pips, and 1 internal. One of the 5 pipped the wrong end but is active and peeping! Thanks for the support!!

No, it's the mini. The part where you connect the cord, from the incubator to the wall is loose. I was messing with it and I have a little piece of folded cardboard under it, to keep it tight and the temp has come back up. It needs to be sent in and fix. I don't want to even mess with them right now, so they are all in my second mini...it's going to be cramped in there once they start hatching but that's ok. And at least I know what the issue is and have it stable, God forbid something happened and I needed it. Thank you!

Thank you! That's what I kept thinking! These are expensive shipped eggs. And my brinsea is only 6 months old! I have a 3 year warranty but if I didn't have a back up, I could have lost them! They are still active and peeping at me!
