"The Blob"
That's what I thought. I have no idea what that is. It's completely seperate from the chick but before it got stuck, when he moved, it also moved. It's connected to him by a big vein I think. But yeah, the black spot is his eye and if I roll the egg his body wiggles a bit but the eye stays firm where it is.The black spot looks like the eye. I am not sure about that weird blobby thing. Lol!!!
I was wondering that too, maybe it was a double yolker? This isn't the only 1 like that. There's atleast 1 more, maybe 2, that has 2 seperate masses in the egg. And they aren't stuck and are also moving around very well with good veins. One of the reasons some eggs fail to hatch is abnormal development. In this case, it looks like an abnormal growth of cells, almost as if a part of the embryo had set free and started to grow more cells. If you are willing to treat it as a science experiment, it looks like both sides have good blood vessel growth, so I'd say let it go on and see what happens. It may be some horrible blob, but chances are it will die off at some point and kill the embryo as well. Or it could be twins, with the same low chance of success.
I don't know if I could handle some horrible, pulsating blob coming out of this egg, lol. I'd have nightmares forever![]()
I may be imagining things, but to my untrained eye the 2nd picture looks to me like it could be a chick. I see what could be the beak, facing left, close to the veinsI was wondering that too, maybe it was a double yolker? This isn't the only 1 like that. That doesn't look right. It appears that the vascular system is shutting down. Maybe the "blob" is actually the clotting??? Wouldn't give it much hope.
Yeah, not something I'd want to experience either.I don't know if I could handle some horrible, pulsating blob coming out of this egg, lol. I'd have nightmares forever![]()
