I did some research this morning, thanks to Lazy's info, and I believe I've narrowed my search down to Brahmas, Cochins, Dominiques, Marans, Orpingtons, & Sussex.

I'm not familiar with any of them, but chose them for their reputations as good brooders & mamas.
Any of them that you'd eliminate?

I could not keep up with you over the weekend. I was doing Leaf Fight 2015. It involved raking them up into piles Saturday and coming out Sunday to find the trees decided to be ***holes overnight.

In chicken news I grabbed Agatha, one of my BA and put her in with Monty Saturday. They didn't fight but they aren't cuddling to roost either. He hasn't made any moves on her or showed her where treats can be found. The closest they got was standing next to each other watching the kids be odd. I think Monty doesn't know how to Chicken.

Both Sue and Monty got collared this weekend. Monty did the back up and pretend to die act. Sue took a bite of my wrist. With the collar on Sue sounds like a mix between an elephant and a pigeon.

Cleaned the garage to find nuts and bolts. Found both but the nuts don't have the right threading for the bolts.

LOL, that's ok. I don't have to lurk, I visit the home page when I'm bored and recent activity shows who's posted where last....

Seen him a couple times. Though I did lurk yesterday when I was trying to remember everyone's screen names to let them know about the thread.

I have to go look up Hawk's. I'm pretty sure I had one sitting in a tree across the road this morning while my flock was out ranging. They got sent back to their runs. I've seen it a couple times flying around, but haven't been positive, I'm pretty convinced that's what it was.

Honestly, if I had it to do all over again I wouldn't have gotten Marans... but just my opinion... they're not aggressive and my roo is a big dork/baby that the Silkie roos beat up, but they're very stubborn and will push around more gentle/timid ones... they're just not what I'm really looking for in what I like...

Sussex and Dominiques I know absolutely nothing about... Sally Sunshine has Brahmas, I'd ask her about those... Cochins have a good reputation... Orpingtons are great broody's from what I hear... I only have a roo with some Australorps right now, but they mingle really well with other breeds... and my friend raises Orps, says they are the best for brooding, not the brightest, but great setters and mamas...

It's pretty long, but it's a tall coop

Aah...the picture you posted looked to me like the coop was fairly close to ground level, like less than 2 ft. Good job; looks great! You using regular 1" x ?" new boards for the sides, or recycled skids? Last one I made I used skid boards...saved a ton on material costs, but some warpage...plenty of ventilation, though

Recycled skids. I just nail the bejeezus out of them, then paint them with a high dollar all weather stain.
The floor is 22 inches off the ground, but I know Tina is getting young birds, so I didn't want it to be too steep. Once they grow a little, they will just fly onto it about halfway up
