Mr. P has a .22 plus something else on, basically, layaway And eldest (OK, so technically should be elder, since there're only 2) will be taking archery through 4H.

Archery is a great skill to learn! I still prefer bow hunting. I rifle hunt too, but I think learning archery skills made me a better rifle hunter. I hope your daughter does well and enjoys it!

My oldest is 12. You guys have seen her pic. I'm just thankful that she still thinks kissing is gross, and only likes boys as friends--I've had so many students that haven't even reached double digits yet that have "girlfriends" and "boyfriends" that it's ridiculous ('tis why I did not respond to the 5th grader). She may keep a fairly even keel.

My 6-year-old, however... That's going to be scary!

I don't recall whether or not you were around for the finale of that little episode or not, but at least two of us, and probably more, ultimately had to flag her. That poor child's half a bubble off plumb already. Rather than being on a "fairly even keel", I'm afeared her dinghy's running in circles. It was only two days later, if that long, that this entire thread went South. Coincidence? I wonder.

Same with our 12 year old THANK GOD! Our 8 year old on the other hand is the extreme opposite! She has a "boyfriend" and they held hands the entire Halloween parade. Thankfully we live very far from town AND boys lol.

Well, Ladies, please don't take this as me being sarcastic in any way, but I certainly hope that one of your daughters doesn't bring her boyfriend home some night & tell you she's pregnant, then 23 yrs later have the product of that pregnancy do the same d---ed thing, and in between have your son do it, as well. Believe me when I tell you; it ain't fun. And all three of those kids were "raised right"

Got hold of some of the Australian chicken standards and found that our Aracuana here are EE as the standards call for green eggs not blue. I'll have to find out how much it would cost to bring in americacuana

We talked about it when she was at the farm. I showed her how mine were done. When I get to the big computer, I will try to post some pics. The coated wire from Lowe's is much cheaper than the hog wire. The only problem I see her having his spanning that 20 foot wide fence. She's probably going to have to put a couple of columns and support beams in it. That's going to be a nice set up at her house. It's right in the center of her backyard. I delivered the coop for her. I wish I could help her with the run, but she lives a little over an hour away

Yeah, sounds like a sweet setup, all right. Anxious to see the end result. I've been thinking about supports for spanning that 20' distance; you suppose a couple of 2x4's or 4x4's with 1x6's screwed to one end (like drywallers use when they install ceilings) would work?
