She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

At least 1 of the big ducks started laying... we now have duck eggs for eating! :D

Yeah!! I love cooking with duck eggs.

Wow!!!! Really..?! Alright....who complained....because it said that "due to numerous reports"? Did someone accidentally hit the report button instead of the ovation buttons??!!! :lau

Once it hit the top 3 threads in post numbers, it could have been anyone. Lots of visitors from the home page.

Decision was made and deed has been done. We processed Punkin. His aggression was too much, and I couldn't risk giving him to someone else and causing them problems. So if he was going to be eaten, it might as well be by us. We fed him long enough, he can return the favor.
It wasn't as bad as I expected either. An innocent bird would probably be a little more difficult for me, but he made the decision alot easier.

Well that makes sense. So...how do duck eggs differ from chicken eggs??

I dont know if there is really that much difference technically, but I love baking with them mostly. Brownies, cookies, cakesc etc, just seem more rich and fluffy.
Of course, they are much bigger usually, so you have to watch recipes and adjust if necessary. I'll sometimes use less oil or water than called for.

That's how my hubby feels about Gump our CLB Rooster. He has never wanted to kill a pet and eat it until Gump. He will be dinner next summer!!!;)

Haven't faced that yet; don't know what I'd do.

Besides size, they're richer and creamier... much better for using in baking than chicken eggs, imo...
